These placements are for recent graduates or students on a “year in industry,” ready to apply their knowledge and grow with us.
 
Role: History & Heritage Internship
Duration: 10-11 months
Department: Stadium Experience & Fan Engagement
Location: STōK Cae Ras Stadium, Wrexham

The Role

Wrexham AFC, one of the world’s oldest football clubs, offers an internship in sports heritage, research, and storytelling. The History & Heritage Intern will assist the Club Historian in preserving and sharing the club’s history.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assist with organising and cataloguing historical club materials
• Help record and document memorabilia, photographs, and historical records
• Research key moments, players, matches, and seasons in club history
• Assist with responding to historical enquiries
• Help prepare historical content for matchday programmes or club platforms
• Help collect stories and memories from supporters, former players, and staff
• Support projects that capture the social and cultural history of the club

About you

You'll have:

• Have a strong interest in history and heritage
• Be organised, detail-focused and have good research and writing skills
• Have an interest in football, sport, or community heritage

Candidate Profile

• This internship would suit students studying History, Heritage Studies, Cultural Studies or Public History.
